Hi Andrew

I have FF working fine on win7, I don't know if it should work on win10 or not as I've never tried it myself, does windows tell you what the problem is ?.

Ps: If you are using 'Videobox', you could use the modern title cards option, this will read the information in your song tags instead of using the track filename, would that help ?.

Hi Steve
Thanks for the reply, i got it working on a Windows 7 laptop just fine. My old work hores computer had a thrashing and i thought it was just my computer so i never thought too much about it. So i just brought a new one and then it wouldn't work again,  but again i thought it might be something i am doing. Which is why i didn't put it under the bug section and also windows 10 doesn't have net framework or Windows Media Player. I do have Videobox work fine on Windows 10. I will find a log of the error today and post back. Do all mp3 have a tag or do you have to add the tags? I need to spend a day on my 30k plus song collection and some more reading, to stay up-to-date.
Thanks again Andrew

yes, all mp3's have tags but you will probably find that some of them are empty.
You can use our 'Music manager' tool to help you to edit the tags...

Hi everyone :)

I've been having problems getting filename fixer to work under Windows 10, it will install piece of cake. But when I go and execute the program it will just come up with the popup to say the program encountered and error and the program will now terminate.

I've tried running under comparability mode XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and all do the same.

Has anyone else came across this problem, and what would you recommend.

I do use videobox and all my file names are like
Abba - dancing queen.mp4 and the entire file name is on one line.

Would it be possible to have traditional titles cards to use id3tags too, hopefully in another update for videobox.

Many thanks
Laurence

When I install the software no error comes up, but when I run the executable to launch the software for filename fixer, the only thing that happens is after I double click the icon for the file it instantly says "a problem has occurred and the program will now terminate" it's like an error-reporting dialog box that comes up.

And it has a progression bar and then it closes the program.
When I get home, I'll be able to have a closer look and try installing again. And do a recording on my phone and I'll attach it to my next reply.

sorry for the delay in getting a screenshot.

this is all that i get, and then the dialog disappears and the program won't run.

i have also exhausted all options that Troubleshooter built into windows has and its lowered and raised the dpi resolution for the program and put it to compatability mode for windows 7 and its giving me the same issue as there is within the screenshot. i've tried this software on the jukebox too after a fresh format. and its never worked on my jukebox.

Hmm, FF is an old program that probably has code thats not compattible with Win10 or maybe even 64bit systems.
I'l ask our Bry to have a look when he has some spare time.

Thanks Steve for releasing a re-compile I can confirm it works on Windows 10. But the problem I'm having is that FNF Don't put enough spacing in.

What I thought.
I thought filename fixer would fix the file names for videobox so that the artist would be on the top line and the title would be on the bottom line. Which in my case hasn't done this for me

Yes I think you are right, I hav'nt used FNF for ages but as I remember it will try to space your filename so that artist and title on different lines, what result are you getting ?.
