Title: On screen volume display
Post by: Dj4nrv on October 10, 2011, 08:32:43 PM
I think it should be visible only when volume is changed.Or even only in test menus.
I just never know where the volume level is at.
Wat do you think?

Ps love the added features.  ;D
Thanks

Had to laugh when I read your post, I suggested this to our Bry that we have the volume show on screen,
he said... and i quote - "thats f***ing stupid and gay". LOL I didnt know what to say to him, ..it didnt happen.

That was the end of it, I dont think he was impressed.
should have heard him when I incorporated the pause button, jesus...

:D Lol. Seems quite obvious that it would be needed to me?? Great minds think alike! Don't know what that says about bry???  Haha I was considering asking for media controls too. But then we would be heading down the ' another media player ' route.

Our Bry doesnt do subtle, he tells it how he sees it i guess (makes me laugh).
I do understand his objections though, we are both determined to resist the media player route.  ;D lets keep it real!

Its essential i think.......what happens if i rent a machine out to someone overnight and leave then they call me 2 hours later complaining its too loud or too quiet, people are definately gonna whinge about either one.

i spose i could put a seperate volume dial on the outside of my jukeboxes so people can manually turn it up :)

Or leave them the coin interface remote.......actually no i wont be doing that!

I've been looking at keyboard hacks and thinking it'd be the best way to go now.

Could just add a couple of arcade buttons to the front of jukebox....or get an ipac :)

i have done a couple of the keyboard hacks but ifind it to be really hard getting a decent solder contact on the boards i was using , but i guess theres easier ones to use, just somthink to think about before you go for it. ;D

Hi everyone, first post.
A couple of things I would like added.
1) An on screen VOLUME CONTROL (have to agree with the other guys on this)
2) Video button in the middle of screen to function also to collapse video as well as expanding it.

Hi all i think the on screen volume display would be good. It may have helped me on the weekend, when i was playing with the new kim and remote. I am still not sure why but i could only get half volume
from 2.7.0 Videobox, but one 2.6.0 it was ok. I put the kim in another jukebox so i had no volume control via remote. Steve told me to use the JBP tool, so i will give it a go late. So i am all for on screen volume display.
Even if it is in the settings, at least we can see what our volume is doing.  ;)
