JBP has stopped altogether and is now requesting a licence file.
I wasn't sent one when I bought it. I registered it online and I thought I had finished.
Can somebody help me please.
Thanks.
Dave.

Hi Dave
i will try to help :D
What happens when you input your serial number ?.
-
Ok.
I've had it up and running already and it suddenly wont open and just states that it cannot find the license fule.
I wasn't sent a license file when i bought the software. I just typed in my serial when prompted and it worked fine. It connected to the net registered and away I went.
It has now just stopped.
Thanks.
Dave.

Hi Dave
No problem, Are you in need of a "license file" or a "serial number" ?.
If you are not sure, just send me a screenshot (picture) of the problem ("keyboard key:- "print screen")
-
I'm in need of a licence file I think.
Thanks.
Dave.
-
Ok Dave
In order to give you the right key I need to know the 'exact' error message text, can you copy the message text here so that I can work out what you need, just take a screenshot if you cant copy the error box text.
-
The error states that Jbp can't find a valid licence and this comes up as soon as the program is launched.
Thanks.
Dave.
-
ok, from what you said it sounds like you have a legacy version of our software (a legacy version is one that requires a license file to operate).
There are are only a few reasons you would get the error message you are seeing...
Your license file is missing from your jukebox program folder.
The license file NAME has been changed:- post the filename of your license file and i will check it for you.
You have installed the software on a diffrent computer from the original one you first installed it to.
Something has changed on you computer and invalidated the license file.
Please check all of the above and reply individually to all of the suggested fixes.
-
Nothing has changed on the computer as i set it to autorun Jbp and it only runs that software. It has also only been installed on 1 computer. It requires me to travel a 30 mile round trip to get to this computer where there is no internet connection. Could you please mail me a licence file so i can go and try that?
Thanks.
Dave.
-
Hi Dave, license files are now obsolete, but i might be able to get a duplicate license file for you if you can provide me with the original serial number ?.
-
The serial is JBP-**********************************
Thanks.
Dave.
-
Hi Dave, that serial number is all you need, simply input the serial at the prompt.
Ive checked you registration and all is correct, if any error shows when you input your serial then click the "Details" button and it will show a detailed text description of the fault, just paste all of the fault text here and I can tell you what's wrong.
-
Hi. First of all thanks. Good effort working at the weekend like this.
As I mentioned before it's a 30 mile round trip to a place in the hills with no internet. I would have to go there come back and go back out again. I don't really want to do this.
The program was working fine. I registered it online and typed that serial into it.
The program will now not start and the error message it produces is that it cannot find a valid licence. It does not give you chance to type the serial in. It simply won't start.
I think it needs a licence file can you send me 1 then I can try that when I am up there next?
Thanks.
Dave.
-
Is this possible?
-
Hi Dave, no problem we work most weekends...
Ok, it sounds like you might be trying to run an older version of JBP with a new version serial, that wont work.
I will explain, there are currently 2 versions of JBP in circulation...
An older version that requires a license file, if the license file is not present a dilalog box shows stating that your trial expired X days ago (Picture A).
A new version that shows a blue box asking you to type in your serial number (Picture B).
Without knowing which version you are trying to run its hard for me to realy suggest further, to identify which version you have look at the pictures below and say which dialog you are seeing ?, if you see none of these then you may have a problem with your Windows system.
-
It was the new version that I installed.
I downloaded it off your servers at http://jukeblaster.com on the 7th dec 2012.
The program won't start and it tells me that it cannot find a valid licence.
Thanks.
Dave.
-
Ok Dave, if it is the new version telling you that it cannot find a license it will have more details available by clicking the 'Details' button on that message.
I know it may be inconvenient in your situation but I will need to see all the 'Details' text to tell you what is wrong.
-
Ok.
I will try and get over there later on tonight.
Thanks.
Dave.
-
No problem Dave, just make sure you copy all the text and numbers in the 'details' box and that will tell us whats wrong.
-
Ok.
I went on my little journey. I've bought the computer back so I can clear up this problem once and for all.
Here is the copied error message.

Hi
Ok, thats a nasty little problem, I've checked the machine ID and license and that is all as it should be, I think that something has happened to the windows files system, either in the 'user.config' file xml root or the JBP.exe file has been corrupted somehow, ok so lets fix it...
You will need an internet connection on the JBP PC...
With JBP closed, download this software tool to the same PC that JBP is installed on:- http://jukeblaster.com/forum/index.php?topic=417.0
1. Open the tool and select 'Juke Blaster Pro' from the drop down box (top left).
2. click the button 'Try to DELETE User.Config file' (and select yes to delete any files it finds), then close the software tool.
Now try to run JBP, you may be asked to 'Register' again, just input your serial number.
If the above fails, please re-install JBP and try that...
-
tried both of those and it still keeps coming up with licence file not found.
What next?
-
Hi
are you absolutly sure you have used the software tool to delete the user.config file ?
Did you have to reinstall JBP ?, did it ask you for your serial again ?
does the JBP PC have an internet connection ?
-
Sorry,
my mistake. I never told the tool program that I was using JBP.
Yes, up and running again.
Thanks for all your help.
Dave.
