Cutsom load screen (Key Privacy)
« on: August 18, 2013, 04:26:03 AM »
Hi.
Im sure this would be a use for others too.
I have a jukebox i rent out at parties, my only problem is that i have the pc always on in bios so it auto boots when turned on at the power.
I have now changed the windows load logo to mine but i dont like the fact that when the software loads everyone can see my licence key and im sure they could use if they was smart.
All i ask is just to either change that screen to a custom load screen that you use a jpeg or just have it as a background image and the software just loads direct into the program?

thanks

Hi.
Im still hoping we can deal with this. Like mentioned i really dont like the fact if i let the machine out to someone they can see my key. Can you just perhaps have the load screen as default (as is ) or select an image like bobs jukebox logo to use instead.

Hi stuee

Why don't you like your serial to be shown ?, it's no use to anyone but you.

Hi Steve.
I think it looks very unprofessional, its the first time ive ever seen a program load screen show the serial number and program details so openly, normally its a little start up pop up box with the program details but no serial.

Hi stuee

Many programs now show either the serial number or the registered persons name (or both) at start-up, the reason software vendors are now doing this is that anyone using illegally obtained software cannot hide its origin. Its basically just another deterrent to casual software piracy.
