Now That's What I call Music Problems !!!!

Hi Guys (and Gals)

I'm running Videobox 2.9.9.9 on a freshly installed copy of XP on a 3.7ghz  quadcore pc with a Zytronic touch screen (ex Heron data NSN cab).
Everthing is running quick and smooth  but ive recently put all the 'Now' albums on and it seems to be taking 6-10 seconds to bring them all on the screen !!!!

Now I understand there's a hell of alot for it to look through before it displays them but is there something I can do to make it quicker ?

Ive got a 'Now' catergory which when pressed brings up all the Albums (with pictures at 480x480), you then select the tracks so it's all set up as just normal albums would be.

HELP !!!!!

i also have large collections that vjb struggles with so to get around it i break them down ito subfolders
not 100% cure but does help
so i would put now 01-30 in a file then now 30-60 and so on put a jpg folder in each sub looks cool
so on your cat bar you would see the now image so when selected you see a selction of now collections

I might break it up in Now '80's','90's etc

Also what size album covers should I use ? As I find the bigger the jpeg the longer it takes to load !!!!

i try and keep them between 300-400

yeah that sounds cool break them down into decades

depends how many now albums u got in 1 category?, do waht john says and break em down into cats if u got an insane amount of em
Ps take no notice of johns moanings he's got a legendary music library that is 10 times bigger than any one else has 

image size & image filesize has a lot to do with it videobox has to do a conversion oneach image to make sure they all the same size for display
best size is abaout 250ish if that dont help they might be hi res images so use an image optimizer, i use a free one called RIOT

Right,so far so good.......

Broke the Albums in to 'Decades', Now 80's, Now 90's etc which means there's about 20 albums per catagory.
re sized the covers to 300x300 and it's a lot faster, almost instant infact !!!

Tested for most of last night and I'm happy again.....That was until I elbowed the monitor and smashed the zytronic touch panel

there 15s sorry most herendatas were 15s i know they did quite alot of 17s but mostly you
come across 15s sorry to build your hopes up

Spoke direct to herondata who had a 19" Zytronic inc monitor for £ ??
I can't tell you as it was tooooo cheap lol......let's just say it was only in double figures
