have i lost my pro license

been having probs with my mobo windows hanging on startup so you have to power off and restart and through this I now get invalid license message tried reinstalling but option to place my serial number is not  there tried a complete reinstall still no joy does this mean another license key lost

Hi John

Looking at the output text I think you have a couple of problems with your PC...

1. your license is missing
2. the xml in your user.config file is corrupt

In theory the new system cleaning tool should cure both if you tick all the boxes to remove everything, then reinstall Videobox.

Who knows what else is corrupted on your PC, try to get the PC or Windows fixed if it has a fault.

Anyway try the above first to see if that helps you.  :)

tried cleaning tool no joy steve cant reinstall windows as juke registered to this setup

Ok sounds like your windows install may be pooched, try this then...

Install again but instead of installing to the default location (C:\program files\Videobox) install to a different location, something like:-  C:\Program Files\jukebox\Videobox

Give that a go.

If the above does work and Videobox fires up, you can then deactivate your Videobox license in the Videobox control panel and then re-install your windows, videobox will then reinstall no problem with a fresh copy of windows  ;D

yip that sorted it  ;D changed mobo so gonna experiment gonna try xp and 7 and even vista to see what performance differences there might be

there willlbe no difference between xp vista 7 or 8, its all down to ur mobo, memory, cpu n graphics card

I'm about to do the same from xp to 7.......main reasons are:

 7 has an auto defrag, xp doesn't.

7 can take more then 4 gig of ram, xp cant.

7 has better ways for hiding boot logo so you dont see windows at startup.

7 is easier to setup partitions without a third party program like partition magic.

at mo im on tiny xp but as bry says its down to your hardware yes memory is limited to 3gb on xp but im thinking I might go to 7  put xp on in a rush job
