.cdg karaoke problems Windows 7 and 10
« on: September 19, 2015, 04:28:20 AM »
Hi I had a problem with the Karaoke not playing with Videobox on Windows 7, so after 3 fresh installs of windows 7 and Videobox it still only worked at the start. I read Stampys problem and i think it's the same thing with mine, but i now have windows 10 and the files are different. I will add a picture of what it says when i click on a karaoke song. Any help would be great appreciate. Thanks Andrew

What happens if you click "yes" and then tick "do not show me this again"?
Did you install the CDG codecs on the install?

Hi Matt
I have tried both yes and no, it works but only until it's  restarted and it doesn't work. It also looks like it is try to start two lots of Videobox at the same time, i just tried moving the Videobox folder just into C drive and still no luck. Everything else works just fine and it's only the .cdg karaoke files that are playing up.

I did try looking for it yesterday but i didn't have the folder with extensions. But today i do, i think because i said yes to the check box. I am missing the Runtime, how do i get that into this folder?

Ok, I think you right click and select NEW -> Dword32 bit and then add the value of 1.

Have a go and if you cant do it just let me know and either myself or Bry will login and sort it for you :D (probably tue/wed).

I just add the Runtime and set the value and it's all working. Thanks again Steve, you were spot on with you fix. I did look at that first, but it must have been until i said yes to that permission box that it showed up.
Thanks Andrew
