Wireless Remote usage
« on: August 18, 2013, 04:07:42 AM »
Hi,
would it be possible for commands on the software to be mapped to a key?
I have a wireless remote i have and give to the party sober person (mainly the host)
this way they can mute and control the volume.
I would like also to assign a key to closedown and also skip current track.
I have been using girder to program the remote but all i can really do is map it to keyboard keys.

Hi Stuee

We already supply a plug & play solution for this, it works right out of the box, no mapping needed:-  ;D  http://www.jukeblaster.com/index.php?page=detail&get_id=4&category=

Hi Steve,
I have seen you have this option but i have already a 2.4ghz wireless remote to 50m. The ir remote you supply is only line of sight.
Im sure it wouldn't be too hard to map keyboard CTL+ALT+A to pause .. B to play ... and so on?
Thanks

Hi John.,
Thanks for the reply.
I have 4 buttons on my remote
which i would
Vol up, vol down  mute and skip current playing track.
I have worked out the vol up and vol down along with the mute but unsure the skip track

What is the link for the keyremapper you use as there seems  to be a few around.

havent got the sheet in front of me but you'll all the F keys are what you're after...F1, F2, F3 etc.

VOL up = F9
VOL down = F8
Skip track = F10.....(i think)
tab key = menu
end key = shut down computer or program
ADD credit = F1

Cant remember the rest of the top of my head, i'd need a jukebox in front of me :)

F10 - Jukebox Closed
F11 - Pause
F12 - Reject
End - Shutdown (hold 3 seconds)
Home - Video

find it best just to leave remote default keys to use windows volume/mute
