Hi, John

I did tell you that our Bry was away ?? :-/.

Anyway, I will try to help in his absence, but be warned I'm not the expert on this stuff, here is what I need from you...

When you see the 'activation code dialog', click activate over internet, when this fails you will see a button labelled 'Details', click the 'details' button and copy all the text it then shows you, send the text to me and I will try to figure out what has invalidated your license.

Hi John

it looks like whatever you have done to your PC it has changed your machine ID so much that it cannot be recognised as the same PC by the license activation component (see attached picture), there is nothing that you or I can do to make the license accept your new setup as the same machine, unfortunately the only option here would be an additional license.

no steve what i said was i was testing it on another drive using win7 and i left my
original drive with xp on you surgested that it might not like the drive change
so last night i reformated the original just to find that it still wouldnt reg vjb

but as you said it looks like a board change due to cmos backup loss not a
fiddle mate but i can see how it looks that way no im happy with this mobo
dual 1.6 cpu 2gb memory plus tvout port anyhow might not be able to get
the settings back that vjb registerd so ill report back in another hour

I've just tried changing the cmos real-time clock and it does indeed invalidate and destroy the license, I guess its part of the protection then.
