Search Function

I have installed and added a few test albums but when i come to search only seem to be able to search by song title not artist, and search by artist is one of the most common features i use on a Jukebox, is this something im doing wrong or does it not exsist in JBP?

as the search part of your site says be suprised what you find but how am i to be suprsied i.e a colabiration if i cant search by artist?

Hi stingray

If your artist name is in the filename it will be found.

Example: if you type "donna" in the search box and you have a madonna album with her songs in there, the search would return for example:-

 Madonna           Madonna          Madonna       Donna Summer
Like a virgin      hanky Panky         Vogue           I feel love

The only case in which they wont be found is if your artist name is missing.
