HI John

I will try to help  ;), need a little clarification of the problem, you said "not searching", can you describe in more detail what happens when you type something in and then try to search ?.

My best thought for now is that you may have VBX searching in a diferent folder from where your music files are, did you update your music location recently or anything ?.

Ok John

Only 2 things spring to mind at the moment......

1. there are no music files in the music location you have set (most probable)

2. you typed a search term that cannot be found in your music filenames

Ok John

I double-checked, there is nothing wrong with the program, so...

My best guess for now is that you have a problem in your folder structure, something like an extra level or something like (D:\JBP\JBP\ blah blah blah)

you may of already tried this but....
maybe one of buttons on your remote is in an always pressed/on state ???will it let you enter the search criteria??  try disconnecting the remote ?? strip it down to bare setup and hope it goes away then add stuff back until the fault returns??

this is a nightmare i have removed the remote and closed down my remapping
software also reinstaled vjb and just run xp repair option from disc just in case
its if the drive doesnt exsist need it up and running for weekend
its a stand alone jukebox its not connected to the internet the only thing
i can possibly relate this to is when i upgraded from 2.0 to 2.5 but now
as 2.6 running  ???  >:( :(  :'(

Is your background music folder different to your library folder?
Could it be a conflict between the two libraries?
It's all I can think of ????

i think the only way around this is to reformat the drive delete the partion [d] were the
music is and just do it as one drive so when a fresh instal of vjb creates the sample c/jbp
ill just put all my music in there means useing a full afternoon which is tight to spare
at the moment so if anybody could think of things to try please do so might save me
a afternoons work
this just doesnt seem logical to me

John

You dont need to reformat or delete partitions to clean your system of Videobox.

1.backup your license

2. uninstall Videobox

3.clean your Appdata folder of folders named 'Videobox' ( c:\Users\yourusername\Appdata\Local\), delete any folders named 'Videobox'.

4. re-install Videobox
