Stampys jukebox build
«

Thought i'd throw up some pics of my jukeboxes as i build them
I got 5 advertising kiosks for a bargain price so i decided to convert them to jukeboxes and start hiring them out.
Inside each cabinet is a:
Dell GX520 computer, 3.0ghz P4, 100gig HDD, 1gig Ram.
10" Powered speaker
17" LCD monitor with Touch panel
Coin USB interface and remote (as soon as i pay for them)
coin slot
wireless mic receiver and 2 wireless mics
Webcam - for photo snaps and video recording
The software i'm going to be using will be videobox - juke functions
PCDJ karaoki - for karaoke hosting
and i'll try to tie it all together with a basic front end program like simple touch
Also looking at installing MAME and a couple of pub quiz games
I'll post more pics as they progress, feel fee to comment and add suggestions guys

just a warning mate, that coin acceptor in picture Hi 09 FCS will not work with Coin Kit (it gives a high pulse)
you woul get expensive smoke from your coin mech, PC or board if you use that acceptor
Coin Kit can accept a Low or open pulse.
go for something like this

Hi mate, I am in Australia too and you picked yours up the day before me. You got them from a guy in Sydney? I got the red and blue ones.
I have a few jukebox's in pubs and clubs and i am just starting to hire them out. I have one of these book in 3 weeks for a wedding so i will have one
finished buy then. I am go with the CycloTouch overlay which are the best
http://www.cyclotouch.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=2501
The only problem i have found is that the screen is too straight up and down, so i am making up another shell that the screen fits in and then bolt it to
the unit. The coin mech i always use are the CH-926 and with the new kim kit that you can buy from here, its a great easy set-up. This is a link
to a Australian ebay seller
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160733973237?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
they are about
$10 cheaper from China but 2-3 weeks wait. You can also buy speakers off ebay for $228 with free postage, they are 15'' 300WRMS and they are
great speakers. I have been using one in a club for over 1 year and its still going strong, link

It would be good to swap pics and ideas, i am in Cowra are you close?

hey Andrew, we are on the gold coast............I know what you mean about the screens being too vertical, first thing we thought about was making a shell like you suggested.
I've got one of them at the panel beaters at the moment being resprayed, ours came with a fair few scuffs etc so i thought i'd better have them cleaned up before i start selling them.
I looked at the 15" speaker as well but i'm sceptical it'll actually fit inside. I want these to be a single all in one unit thats lockable so no one can get inside and start palying around with volume settings or unpluggin cables etc......we're just gonna run an extra volume switch to the outside of the machine that users can manually turn up and down if needed
also i'm experimenting now with some webcam programs that will enable background and custom picture frames to be put on photos that people take of themselves when using the machine.

Well guys i got one up and running today
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xs-5VHj3XPw
Having a slight problem with the touch screen not calibrating correctly, its about 1cm off in some places but nothing too serious.
Hopefully my coin interface arrives this week so i can test it as well, then next up is paint and decals
