Title: Couple of issues
Post by: TheMillBox on April 13, 2023, 01:03:32 PM
Have used jukeblaster previously, but working on a fresh latest install atm. Occasionally the box is freezing up, but not if songs are qued (super random). Visualisation is also freezing up after 1 song.
I'm using the non flash version.
I did originaly install the flash version, realised  I can't install flash, so installed the non flash version over it (no delete)
Could this be the route of my issues?
Deactivate uninstall and reinstall?
Hoping for advice to make my life easier as have to take box off the wall to use mouse and keyboard

Hi
I had the same issue with my jukebox
Go into backend by hitting the tab key
Find the advertising select make sure it is in the on position
Remove the ads from advertising folder if you do not want them to run
But leave advertising button in the on position
See if it works for you
It did for me on 15 jukeboxes

Describe what you mean by 'crash' & 'freezing'...
Here's how to describe your problem so that we can understand you:-

I click 'this button' and then the interface stops responding to button presses and after 1 minute it will respond again to button presses.
I watch a video and after 10 seconds the video display then doesn't move and I have to use ctr, alt, del to end the videobox program
I start pub jukebox and my pc stops responding and i have to restart.

Be specific with your descriptions, its hard for us to diagnose a vague description of a problem on a remote computer that we don't have access to, located in another country... :-/

Tell us how to reproduce the problem on our computers, so we can then fix it :-)...

i have found what the problem is but its fixing it

so when you have it set as 2 displays 1 for touch top for the graphics what's happening is the little box at the bottom on the touch screen side is taking over the top graphics so the top screen then freezes and stops working i can upload a video to youtube for u but in a nut shell the bottom image is causing the top graphics to crash half way into a song or at the end of the song

kinda like its selecting the bottom screen so the top stops showing video

From what i understand the pc spec is a little on the low side, celeron is an old proccessor, also the onbord graphics and hd5450 graphics card are probably not up to the job.
And also hdmi is not supported at all for dual screen setup.

Im almost sure its the hdmi or the pc is a bit underpowered.

I would change the hdmi screen to vga first before changing the pc, if you search the forum this has caused problems for other users.

Ps: very impressed with both of your jukebox cabinets, look pro :-)

i will try i do have some hdmi to vga converters so can do that the only way i can do vga to dvi is by using the graphics card for a test as the on board is only vga and hdmi

and i hope so to for a 5k jukebox

I think hdmi is ok for single screen, but for dual screen both have to be pure vga, i dont think a coverter will work (as the pc is still outputting to hdmi before being converted), logically it shouldn't make any difference, but it does.

have u got a idea of a low profile graphics card that is known to work at all? needs to be 1 what does not need the extra power?

thank you

or is their a way to turn it off at all?

i have a update for you and what a load of fun its been lol

so after trying everything it seems windows 10 is causing the 2nd display problem and pub edition non java
i installed windows 8.1 and installed the graphics driver for the hd 5450 installed the java edition of pub jukebox
and now when the next track shows it works everything works perfectly
so if your having this same problem u might need to go to windows 7 or windows 8 and use the java edition to get it working
