Good Forum,
I have setup my ftp and was able to upload my update to the sever thru JMC. I place all the required info in pub jukebox but it is not updating the music. This is what I did:
1 Properly tagged The music track
2 covert it with JMC output to a flash drive E/
3 upload with JMC FTP to the FTP sever output still E/
4 started pub jukebox waited but no update
Any step I missed

Notes:
the username & password in Pub Jukebox is not the ftp user/pass, it is the user/pass of the folder on your server.
did you encode files in the jmc for that jukebox serial number ?.

Ok , I am using a different ftp site to do the updates because my website host has limited me to 20mb upload.
I think I see what is wrong. The ftp that I am using requires a username and password to access it first and then folder with the update doesn’t require any passwords.
FYI:

I will try finding a different ftp site and try again

Good day forum,
Paid for a ftp server and still having problems getting the update from the ftp server. I know I followed the instructions correctly but no joy. I am using Windows 10. And this is day 4

have you entered the correct url ?, looks like you may be using https: instead of ftp:

Ok, heres an easy way to test if your url is correct outside of the JMC...
Open a web browser and enter the URL to your server updates folder
If your url is correct your browser will popup a box asking you to enter the username & password
If your url/username/password are incorrect then it wont work

I am now able to upload the new tracks to the ftp now. But the pub jukebox is not downloading the update from the ftp site.
How long it usually takes for it to download the updates...

Ok, I had another go at this, please forgive me its been a long time since Ive had to deal with downloads etc, so...
Forget the "ftp:" prefix, it should either be "http:" or "https:" because the files are uploaded and downloaded via http, as far as I remember you only use ftp if you are using a ftp client and not the jmc.
ok so i looked at the last image and that url dont look right, its got ftp prefix and an at symbol in it "@", so i dont know what thats about ?, if you tell me your domain or show me a screen shot of what you are entering into pub jukebox I might be able to figure it out for you.
so in the JMC & Pub Jukebox you should have something like this...
Url:- http://jukeblaster.com/updatefolder /update.zip
Username:- ******
Password:- ******

I think you capitalized "Jukebox" as a foldername on the server "J", change it to lower case "j", dont use capital letters anywhere, try that.

I'm running out of ideas to be honest, its difficult to diagnose this problem remotley, there are settings on your server that could also cause problems like php config, .htaccess etc.
Unfotunatly our Bry is away so I cant ask him about this, if you have no luck I will try to do a remote desktop with you to figure this out next week.

Sorry i can not upload the zip file using the https://jukeboxupdate.xyz/Jukebox.
I am getting an error.
However i can upload using http://jukeboxupdate.xyz/Jukebox

ok, so you have uploaded the update.zip, i would now leave the JMC and concentrate on the download.

1) Yes I am able to upload using http://jukeboxupdate.xyz/Jukebox with the JMC
2) And i am able to see and download the update.zip with my web browser
3) https://jukeboxupdate.xyz/Jukebox Will Not Upload
4) But the Pub Jukebox will not Download from http://jukeboxupdate.xyz/Jukebox

Also remember that pub downloads the update when it first starts up, be carefull not to miss the download because pub will not download the same update twice, if you try to download the same update again it will be ignored, upload an update with a differen track in it.

Try this and let me know...
Login to your hosting server and change the capital "J" in the jukebox folder to lower case, that could be causing a problem.

Tried that again over the weekend still no results..

I logged into your hosting and no matter what I try it will not allow a download, It works with my hosting fine so I dont know what the difference is ?

Ok, do you think it’s a regional restriction. Because I have tried about three others with no joy.
Can you recommend one that you have success with.

I had a look online for trial hosting for you but they all wanted billing details so I couldnt test, the host I use is:- https://www.tsohost.com
I had a thought that I could setup an account on my hosting for you to test, what you think ?

Ok, so I set up a ftp folder for you but if I limit the ftp to just that folder it gives the error again, if I open the ftp to the whole site root then it allows the transfer, obviously I cannot open up the whole site ftp so Im a bit stuck tbh.
Im thinking it must be some permmissions/security thing somewhere in the hosting configuration.

Is this the hosting site you are using?
I want a basic package just to use for music updates. Less than $10 a month fees.
I already have a hosting site for my website but unfortunately it can support the music updates FTP.

My hosting was originaly with a company called compila and was then bought out by tshost and the packages have changed, my hosting is now and old product however its cheap enough about £60 for the year, so it might be worth asking them if you can get the same product, or you could hold on for a bit and we can try to figure out what the problem is with your hosting.
