hi, i am running out of space on my 111gb hard drive ( C: ), and have added a 1 terrabyte hard drive ( E: ). i have connected it up and formatted the new drive and it is listed as new volume E: by the computer. what i anm wondering is does anyone have any idea how to get the music files to start going to the new hard drive. will it do it itself or do i have to reinstall the videobox software. thank you for any help if anyone knows.

Hi dobe
I will try to help if you can expand a little...
Not sure what this means:- "how to get the music files to start going to the new hard drive" ?.
Do you mean:- point Videobox to start using the music on your E drive ?.

the original hard drive which is still in the pc and is running, has the JBP folder inside it. however the hard drive is almost full, and so i am looking for the videobox software to start putting it on the new hard drive that is connected into the pc. there is a C: drive ( nearly full, and an E: drive that has 1 terrabyte on it. there is only about 3 gig of space left on the C: drive, and am wondering what i should be doing to start using the new E: drive
-
aaah , yes if i could transfer all the JBP onto the new drive and point the videobox to go there, that would be great
-
Hi dobe
Yes that is easy, just copy your JBP folder from your C: to your E: drive, then go into music files in your software and point it to E:\JBP
-
i can do the first bit but i dont know how to do this " then go into music files in your software and point it to E:\JBP "
-
Ok, are you using Videobox or Juke Blaster Pro ?.

Ok, fire up VBX and tell me the version number you see at startup.

2.8.0.0

Ok, can you enter the control panel by clicking the 'gear wheel' icon in the topmost right corner.
-
i have done that
-
ok, click the 'music files' button (third one along the top row)
-
i have done that
-
Ok, simply change the music location to your E drive using the drop down boxes and then click the update button (see attached picture)
-
i am copying the JBP file over to the E: drive , it says 5 minutes to copy it, then i will point it across like you said, i will post again shortly to let you know ive done it.
