Title: New install of Videobox 3.6.5.0 - Load Up issue
Post by: Limos North West on October 13, 2013, 11:30:01 AM
Hi,

Can someone help ? Ive been using Juke Blaster Pro & Karaoke Jukebox in one of our limousines on a touch screen via an ACER Laptop running Win 7. I thought i'd upgrade to Video box to save having to load up each version of the software depending on what the passengers wanted EG Music or Karaoke as I believe VideoBox does the lot in one program.

Anyway, Ive installed the software, went through steps 1, 2 & 3 then installed the program as instructed on screen. Ive registered the license online but the program will not finish loading up.

Heres Whats happening...
Double click the icon, The software begins to load the skin, the "Initilasing Please Wait" Screen flashes on a couple of times and then holds at that point. It will not finish the load up and is stuck on the initialising screen. The Laptop does not crash / hang, im able to close the program using ALT & F4.

Ive tried updating Flash & .NET Frame Network separately online but this hasn't helped.

The other 2 previous versions I have installed of Jukeblaster Pro & Karaoke Jukebox are still running fine on this machine.

HELP!

Mike

Hi Steve,

After Purchase, this arrived

Your Videobox Pro serial number is:- VBP-*****-*****-*****-*****-*****
Download your software here:- http://jukeblaster.com/download
User Name:- ***********@mikemason.co.uk
Password:- *********

Just to update you, Ive just re downloaded this from your site and its now working. It must have been a problem with the original file.

I do have one question, Great to see the Limo Mode although the volume buttons dont seem to affect the volume level, Any suggestions on that ?

Mike

Hi Mike

Sounds like your original download might have been corrupt then, anyway glad you got going.

As for sound, make sure all your 'windows' & hardware volume controls are set to full, then VBX will control your volume.
try keyboard keys F8 & F9, also try F7 to make sure sound is not muted.

Yep, Thats done the trick ! This is brilliant, Just what we needed. Hopefully we can roll this out into some more vehicles now. (Its a shame the Volume Control in Limo Mode doesnt give reference to "Volume Level" - one for the Wish List

Hi Mike

When you say "doesn't give reference to the Volume Level", what do you mean ?, you should see a volume bar going up or down on the left of your screen.

There is a Plus Symbol at the top of the screen on the left and a Minus Symbol at the botton. It wasnt that clear what it was for at first. My Thought Was it could be something like this..

Ahh, you mean write the word volume down the left side, you could do that with a skin.

The Bar your on about Auto Hides, so a new passenger at a glance wouldnt realise what it was for without being told

Yes I understand what you mean, you could make the buttons more prominent too I guess.
