ahhhhhhhh nevermind guys i got it, had the pulses set to 50, DOH!

quick question though, is it possible to set up the program or coin mech so i get

$1 = 1 credit
$2 = 3 credits
$4 = 7 credits.

not sure how i'd go about setting that up :)

Is this possible at all, or are we restricted to coin type only for various credits???

hehehe, i did in my second post bry........what i want is to have $1 for 1 credit, $2 for 3 credits and $4 for 7 credits.

the problem i'm haviing is the coin mech only recognises coin types and gives credits per coin type not the value of the coins that have gone in.

example: if i drop a $1 coin in i get 1 credit, but if i drop "2" $1 coins in, one after the other i only get 2 credits not 3.

if i drop a $2 coin in i get 3 credits but not 2 individual $1 coins........sorry guys i know its hard being in england and working in pounds & pence.

Am i making sense at all???

Hmm, not quite mate in ur secont post u ask if something is possible you dont state a problem

anyways lets get to your question

i think you are trying to award bonus credits ?

its not easy because of difrent currency and coin valuse around the world (Videobox is used in many countrys) so you have some choices

you can give a number of pulses from your acceptor and Coin Kit gives the same pulses to your sofware (1 pulse = 1 credit)

or U can have a totalizer function where 1 pulse from ur acceptor still gives 1 pulse from Coin Kit but it is added up by ur software to %100 so that

if u set Videobox coin switch 1 to give %17 for 30p play  or  %25 for 20p play (sorry dont know dollars n cents)
then..

set your acceptor to give...

5p 1 pulse (sorry dont know dollars n cents)
10p 2 pulse(sorry dont know dollars n cents)
20p 4 pulse(sorry dont know dollars n cents)
50p 5 pulse(sorry dont know dollars n cents)
£1 10 pulse(sorry dont know dollars n cents)

----------------------------------------------------------------
there are even more options

u can use the new protocols in Coin Kit to award a difrent number of cretits for each coin

u can use a credit board to get more fractional control of ur local curency and feed that into coin kit

i knowits a headach but we all have diffrent currency and Videobox is set up in a way that tries to accomodate all.

yep think my brain just melted reading that.............perhaps its easiest to make it $1 = 1 credit only!!

The bonus there is i'll make a fortune at the end of each month when I go to empty them :D
