Remote stopped working

Hey guys, i had it working fine last night but today i got nothing.

When i open input test none of the buttons on the register a key

the blue light on the coin kit stopped flashing when i press a button then starts again when the let my finger off but thats about it.

Any ideas???

quick update, i just tried it again and only the 123456789 buttons work, all the others do nothing

dunno if that helps to identify the problem at all.

I reckon you entered the default pin (1234) and locked your remote out, read the datasheet that comes with coin kit, give that a go,
Ps: you can also lock remote credits, again read sheet

yeah i tried every button on the remote.........i guess 1234 could've been a sequence i entered lol

I'll have a crack at unlocking it now

Fire up VBX, point your remote and press 1234, you will see a message in VBX (at the top where it normally says 'rejecting')

BINGO!!!!............cheers steve, i just did the reset trick and its working again now.

Had me worried for a second there

Cool  , its worth reading the sheet thouh because there are other usefull things you can do like locking out remote credits.

yeah i read it this arvo but it didnt actually say on there that it was possible to lock out the remote all together, which is why i didnt try the reset trick

When i start selling these jukeboxes i'll have to give each custom about 10 different sets of instructions for each piece of hardware.

On a serious note, a lot of people are surprised how complicated a jukebox can be, but I have to say once VBX is installed it is very simple to use and its quite reliable so I dont think your customers will come across anything they cant handle.
