Spinning Disk and Visualization Question
« on: September 18, 2019, 01:53:58 AM »
Is there away in Portrait Mode to have Pub Jukebox just display the Album Cover and Spinning Disk when playing a track and not display the Winamp type visualization?

Thanks.

I am going to answer my own question since no one has replied to my question.

You can get just the spinning album art to display constantly and not show the win-amp type visualization if you have two video ports on your computer
and plugin a dummy dongle into one of those ports. This fools the computer into thinking you have
a secondary display attached. You can use this port with remote access utilities such as Anydesk if
you would like, and a user standing in front of the computer will not see what you are doing if you remote
in using the secondary display.

Please be aware if you have an HDMI or Display port
and an RGB port, then the HDMI or Display Port will be your primary monitor (monitor 1).
You want to make sure you are using one of these ports for your display before plugging in the
dongle.

Then just go into the Video options under the Engineering options to configure the secondary display.
This works great.

Some of the dongles I have used and tested are below.

I think it is just a matter of preference. I think the spinning album art is a very cool feature and it is very easy
for people to see the song that is playing (it's very legible) . I have never been big into the winamp type visualization, and although it does cycle between the spinning album art and the visualization, I feel that the spinning album art really sets the Jukebox apart from others I have seen.

Hmm, I'm inclined to agree with you, I'm not a super fan of the viz either, put it in the wish list to make viz an option.
