Hi,
which coin acceptors work well together with Coin Kit?
I only found the Money Controls SR3 so far...
Thanks, Hendrik

Hi hendrikm, the SR5 also works, and there are others that will work but I dont remember the model numbers.
In theory, any acceptor that uses standard ccTalk serial should work...
Which ones did you try that didnt work ?.

Hi Steve,
Have had some issues locating the SR2 coin validator, but just come across this from an EU supplier - this would be the SR5 you mention?
https://www.coinoperatorshop.com/en/cash-handling/Coins-Validator-Hopper-Counting-8589/Coin-Mechanisms/electronic-Coin-Validator/rm5/RM5F00-CC-talk-electronic-coinvalidator.html
- Sorry if its an obvious question, this one is probably just as stupid: but with the SR5, the only other hardware required would be the serial data lead as in your YouTube video?
Cheers! Joe

Hi JustJoe
That coin accceptor you linked is NOT the correct one, here are some I found on eBay:-

Thanks Steve
Have just ordered one of the units you linked to, from the description the seller also sounds like he knows what he's talking about.
If I could just check one other thing with you, in the descriptions he mentions the programming for the unit "will be set to CCtalk single channel"
Would this be the correct setting for using with the Coin Kit? or should I provide him with some other instruction?
Huge thanks! Joe

Hi Joe
Not sure what he means by single chanel, could be that all coins exit the same place (no routing), but as long as its standard ccTalk (not encrypted) you should be ok.
