Love this idea

I do love this idea but do u think it can also be made into a separate way to connect to a main jukebox as well so if u want to listen to music say in the kitchen the music is coming from the main jukebox pc and not from say a SD card ect?

also going to have a look to see if i can print some in wall brackets so u can put it into the wall think this would look cool to

Agreed, this is a great idea and has prompted me to look into Pi 4b options as the form factor here with the touch screen has many other possibilities including retro gaming (Amiga).  However, I will be looking at a larger 10.1 inch screen size rather than the official Pi 7 inch version so that it can double as a general tablet or even an additional screen for a PC.

Looking forward to further videos of the software in action.

OK, So I can't get hold of a PI 4b (or at least one at a reasonable price) so I opted for a PI 400 kit (still above normal price).

I'm glad to report that Pi Jukebox (trial) works on this machine.  The default screen resolution on a TV (via HDMI) is not an issue and the Title Cards are adjustable within the settings screen.  The keys to operate it are the same as for 'Home Jukebox' software.

I ported a few music directories from my Home Jukebox setup to trial the Pi Jukebox software.  I had to adjust some music tags to mirror the setup and it is looking good.

There is an issue with the left and right scroll buttons using the mouse (left and right arrow keys not implemented) in that only 1 title card is revealed per mouse click whereas a screen worth of title cards should be scrolled at a time.

I have also encountered a couple of track sort sequencing issues which I will investigate further.

On the whole it is looking very promising.

Hi John, sorry it will not support flac, it can only support mp3 & mp4.
The Pi3 wont work as the processor doesn't have the required architecture.

Hi Mike, thanks for the feedback on Pi Jukebox, I will have to start a bug section for any issues we find, and then I'll get our Bry to go through them (when he's had a bit of a rest)  :D
