Is it possible to exclude album tracks from playing in Background music? Or from removing tracks from the selection view, but not from the background music option? Effectively, I have a huge playlist that I'd be happy to play randomly unless customers want to play album tracks etc.
I've explored using genre tags to define the playlist, but the tracks are then lost from their native genre. I looked at creating the tracks twice - once in the native genre, and once in my playlist genre, but then the tracks are duplicated in other searches (such as Artist A-Z).
I can use either of these as a workaround, but just wondered whether there was a way of setting this as standard.
Many thanks in advance, hope you're all staying safe!

I suppose you could exclude album tracks by tagging them with a high BPM (beats per minute) and then other tracks as low or 0 bpm, then set your timer to discriminate by bpm instead of genre, its a bit of a workaround but it should work.

Great idea! That is what I'll do. Thanks!

Can’t you go a little deeper into explaining how to setup the bgm with the bpm.
What values is considered low bpm and What values is considered high in Pub jukebox?
What scale is use in Pubjukebox.

The bpm threshold is yours to decide/set (in System Admin->Music->Bpm Threshold), the default we set is 80.
The program we use to scan & set our tracks bpm is called "MixMeister BPM Analyzer", but you can manually tag this to anything you wish.

Ok thanks I got it.

So if it is set to 80 Threshold.
Anything above bpm above 80 will be considered “high” and below will be “low” ? Am I correct?

Yes, thats it, you got it ;D
