boost sound quality lacks in hi fidelity
-
Lol, all mp3's are low fidelity, thats the reason they are so small in size.
Mp3's have the top and bottom of the audio waveform chopped-off to make the file smaller, you need to do some reading ;D

hi steve
yes lossless i understand the ins and outs of high and low birates but not ragging
vjb down at at all smart peice of software just noticed the sound comparison
next to some other jukes is not very good not sure what engine its run on
but the sound does want tweaking just my opinion others must have noticed
but there again most will not be that botherd once they run it through a good
amp or pc speakers
im putting together a personal jukebox in the near futer so treated myself to
a nice sounding valve amp and wired it up on a pc running vjb and it sounded
pants so out of couriosity i tried it on some other jukes on the same pc and wowe sound clear
and nice as near as hifi you could get using mp3s which most of mine are 256kb-320kb about 90%
one of the jukes uses wmp as its engine and the other uses its own engine and
this is how i found out that vjb lacks its punch
im sure you can modify and tweak it as i said nice software still a fan dude

Yes i agree with you jukejohn the sound needs tweeking
i'm a dj and use virtual dj which is a great dj program with great sound and i'm currently building a touch screen jukebox.
When i bought Videobox i was disappointed with the sound quality, but can't complain about the the rest of it great piece of software.
Keep up the good work Steve just sort sound out please

Yes I've had the pleasure of using the dfx sound chip, its a Yamaha device if i remember right, it was awesome, it had 3d sound etc (different spatial effects etc), dont know if its the same thing as you have, but if it is you will love it.
