Hi john
Depends on how good your network is, if its a wired (cat5 rj45 cable) you will be ok, if its WiFi, who knows lol ;D
I run mine on wireless upstairs (with a good signal) and it streams videos fine for me, seraches and stuff like that take a few milliseconds longer but its cool ;D.

tried it wasnt bad but updating music was a long wait but i do have a large collection
but playback was fine but not for me but should be ok for average library

Hang on, if you tried it, why you asking lol ? :o

Ok John
how much space does your music collection actually take up in gbytes ?, must be huge :o
-
nearly 600gb but im in the middle of cutting it down as it should speed things up
more ive got about 900gb of music in total so this will be the second time ive reduced
the library down however there is a lot of crap i wont play so just look at it as a spring clean

Lol, thats an insane ammount of music :o, I have about 32 gig :)

yes its a bit ott
we live in a techi world and the standard pc hd seems to be 250-500gb
has back in the day standard was 40-80gb so bigger and faster seems to be the requirement
