Hey guys has anyone used a solid state hard drive yet with video box??
I'm still having issues with slow loading of albums when i select a catagory and i'm wondering if a solid state would speed things up.
Currently i have my hard drives set up as 80gig drives with 2 partitions......
C: = 10gig.......for windows XP, videobox, touch screen drivers and acronis true image.
D: = 70gig.......music files/videos, and back up of the C: drive for a boot recovery in case windows becomes corrupted.
i tried upgrading the video card yesterday to a ati 128 card but it made no real difference so i'm thinking perhaps hard drive next.

yes stampy i hooked up a 240gb ssd and was a vast improvement but 240gb wasnt enough space so i took
a gamble on a 500gb hybrid drive which is half sdd but with the capacity of a larger standard drive and to
be honest was the best move i made with having a larger collection which is at the moment half full also a
third of the price
vjb does seem to be very fast on a fresh instal but once you start feeding it it soon starts to slow down
so make sure your covers are 300-400 pix or even less but i find below 300 you lose quality and detail
and if you can put your files into sub folders so say pop selection abba put all abba albums in there looks
more pro and speeds up the software instead of dragging it through a page of large collection of albums
this works for me a big noticeable speed change

slow lodin might be abum images size or image file size too big
