Videobox / Re: Error code 20, Videobox now unusable
« Last post by rbarker on December 06, 2019, 04:10:52 PM »
Thanks for your help.

Nothing has been changed on my PC.

I've disconnected and re-connected all drives (3) and re-seated the ram, but still the problem remains, only thing I am considering is uninstalling and re-installing Videobox, do you think it is worth a try?

If you have not change anything hardware in your computer, try re-seating your ram or verify that your ram is good.
I had this problem before, I had 2 -2gig stick of ram in the computer total 4gigs of ram. Videobox error came up because of the hardware change from 4gig of ram to 2gigs of ram.
I reseated the ram and videobox started.

Hi,
I've been using Videobox for about a month, I've just tried to boot it up and have received the attached message, I only have Videobox installed and activated on this computer so can't deactivate it on a computer that doesn't exist!

Any advice appreciated as I can't use Videobox at all.

Hmm, I'm inclined to agree with you, I'm not a super fan of the viz either, put it in the wish list to make viz an option.

I know it is possible  to put the artist name before the album name to some what fix the problem, but then the album name gets cut off and cannot be read. Also, I entered a wish list item to have the Artist and the album name displayed under the album covers instead of just the album name due to the fact that some artists are hard to identify by just the album cover itself. This is how the Artist View is currently displayed, and it appears that there is plenty of room to do this on the screen. Any idea when the next version of JukeBlaster might be released? It looks like it has been awhile. I would even be willing to beta test if you need beta testers although I do not use coinop hardware.

I think it is just a matter of preference. I think the spinning album art is a very cool feature and it is very easy
for people to see the song that is playing (it's very legible) . I have never been big into the winamp type visualization, and although it does cycle between the spinning album art and the visualization, I feel that the spinning album art really sets the Jukebox apart from others I have seen.

I am going to answer my own question since no one has replied to my question.

You can get just the spinning album art to display constantly and not show the win-amp type visualization if you have two video ports on your computer
and plugin a dummy dongle into one of those ports. This fools the computer into thinking you have
a secondary display attached. You can use this port with remote access utilities such as Anydesk if
you would like, and a user standing in front of the computer will not see what you are doing if you remote
in using the secondary display.

Please be aware if you have an HDMI or Display port
and an RGB port, then the HDMI or Display Port will be your primary monitor (monitor 1).
You want to make sure you are using one of these ports for your display before plugging in the
dongle.

Then just go into the Video options under the Engineering options to configure the secondary display.
This works great.

Some of the dongles I have used and tested are below.
