Will No Longer Completely Boot Up
« on: August 10, 2025, 01:31:34 PM »
Yesterday, when I powered on the Jukebox, and it began booting up, it would get to the screen that says "Videobox", "Version 4.0", the registration number, "Loading Please wait...", the will not go past this screen. See Attachment. Any suggestions on how to solve this issue? Thanks.

Unfortunately, the small PC in the Jukebox is not connected to the internet, and I don't think it has an air card. I do have a PC in my house that has internet access. Hope you can still provide a solution. Thanks very much for your help.

If the program needs to be reloaded on to the Jukebox PC, could the program be downloaded to a PC that has internet access, like to an external memory drive, thumb drive, etc., then use that external memory drive to reload on the Jukebox PC? Thanks

Hmm, it's hard to say whats wrong without access to the pc but if I were to take a guess I would say that the program is ok (it's trying to boot) and its on a dedicated pc without internet so that rules out new changes to the OS, so I think it could just be a bad track that it's trying to load at startup but cannot load.

I do not know if this is the case but here's how to test it if you want to give it a try...
Re-loading the software from a usb stick would not fix this because the settings files would be persisted on your pc, you would need to delete them manually, you would need to delete 2 files named "user.config"...

C\Users\YourAccountName\AppData\Local\Touch_Music_Solutions\Videobox.exe_Url_jcnb1du3j21qwwvfnbecfyiueq4yxij1\4.0.0.0\user.config

C:\Program Files\VideoBox\user.config

After deleting these 2 files fire up Videobox, NOTE THAT YOU WILL LOSE ALL SETTINGS AND WILL NEED TO SCAN YOUR MUSIC FILES AGAIN.

I do not see the two files you are referencing "user.config" when I open the Videobox file. Only one that says "User.config", CONFIG FILE, 48KB. Am i looking in the right file? Sorry, my programming knowledge is extremely limited. I very much appreciate your help.

There's one in your Videobox folder here:-

C:\Program Files\VideoBox\user.config

and the other is in this folder here:-
C\Users\YourAccountName\AppData\Local\Touch_Music_Solutions\Videobox.exe_Url_jcnb1du3j21qwwvfnbecfyiueq4yxij1\4.0.0.0\user.config
