I'm curious too about the MP3-G update........does this mean i can just use videobox on my hire machines and do away with karaoke box and my SimpletouchFE program??

I'm assuming karaoke titles will display in a different colour much like how mp3s are blue and video files are green in videobox.

Would be awesome to make a catagory called karaoke and have all my songs in there, instead of having to close videobox and open karaokebox everytime our clients wanted to change.

Hi Stampy, I'm glad you asked that one...

There are a few differences with karaoke Jukebox, Videobox will play *.cdg files but it treats them just like any other track, it doesn't do the fancy stuff that KJX does like compressed zip files, entering names or the interval countdown timer etc.

Ps: forgot to say in my last post, if you have BGM set VBX knows not to play *.cdg Karaoke files as background music

Pps: yes you are right it does show a different colour title card for karaoke tracks.

true i didnt think about countdowns and singer names......still its a great little upgrade, i know most of my renters will be happy.
