Licensed music files
« on: June 11, 2024, 09:59:44 AM »
Hi all,
We are running VB 39.8.0 on a windows 7 installation, its quite an old machine but that's what it is right now.
In the past we have had no problem with mp4 and mp3 files to update the box, however a company we have purchased new music from has sent me something called an RDR file with a music folder and an XML file. The advice is to just put this into the root directory and VB will see this and just add it to the directory. Sorry to say it didn't...

The music folder opens to a series of folders for each song and artist and in there is a file called a .tmf file it has a large number of letters and numbers in the title. And as i said, VB has no idea what to do with this... any ideas?

Cheers,

What is the reason for this format? Can company or you convert the songs to known working format that is stated the supports.

My thoughts exactly, the company has now sent raw mp4 and mp3 so I should be able to easily add these now, I’ll rewatch the videos on how to do this.

Sound great. If you don’t mind, is this a paid service where they supply you with updates music on a regular basis.
